Welcome to Shirley Community Nursery and Primary School.

I hope that our website will give you an insight into our happy and successful school. Shirley School is fortunate to be situated in an area of Cambridgeshire that serves a rich and diverse community. Our pupils come from a variety of backgrounds and many speak English as a second language. We are very proud to be the first school in the country to gain the Equalities Award.

“The School’s ethos and commitment to equal opportunities is exemplary.” (Ofsted, 2010.)

In July 2011, we moved into brand new, purpose built accommodation which includes a wonderful library, food technology room, ICT suite, attractive outdoor learning spaces, community facilities and Children’s Centre.

We want all our pupils to achieve their best both academically and socially. Alongside this we promote an ethos where every child is valued as an individual; this helps them to grow into caring and respectful young people who are able to get on well with each other and make a positive contribution to our community.

"The outstanding care, guidance and support the school provides for all pupils underpins their good achievement.” (Ofsted, 2010.)
