How accessible is the school environment?
At Shirley School we believe that accessibility is measured in more than just physical terms and every effort is made to ensure that the curriculum and  all information shared is accessible to everyone.  The school environment is regularly monitored for its accessibility.
All our classrooms and other facilities for the children are on the ground floor. There is an upstairs space which is used by staff. There is a lift to the upstairs rooms giving full wheelchair access to the whole school.  
Arrangements are made for children with mobility needs. Various strategies are in place to support accessibility for children with visual and hearing impairments.
