Salary Scale Points 4 – 5 (£18,426 - £18,795 pro rata)

Shirley Community Primary School and Pre-School is looking for a warm and resilient Receptionist and Administrator with exceptional communication skills to join our friendly and supportive office team. As first point of contact for the school, the successful candidate will provide comprehensive and efficient reception duties. A good sense of humour, a flexible attitude and the ability to organise, prioritise and multi-task is essential for this role, along with an empathy for our pupils and the diverse community which we serve.

Key duties will include:

  • Daily communication with members of the school community and visitors

  • Responding to emails and telephone calls

  • Ensuring data is accurate and up to date on the School Information Management System (Pupil Asset)

  • Assisting with school lunch arrangements, attendance and administration for new pupils to the school and pre-school

The successful candidate will have good ICT and communication skills, be well organised and highly motivated and have the ability to work well under pressure. Experience of working in a school office would be an advantage, but is not essential - full training will be given.
