Registering could raise money for Shirley School
We ask all parents/carers to sign up for school meals as registering could also raise extra money for Shirley School from central government. This is known as Pupil Premium and is used to fund valuable support like extra tuition, teaching assistants, additional lunchtime activities or after school clubs (full details of how we spend Pupil Premium can be found here).
Even if you don’t want your child to receive a school meal, we ask that you register so that we can identify if you are eligible for Free School Meals. If your child is eligible for Free School Meals, we will then send off the form on your behalf and the school will receive the Pupil Premium.
