Sensational Science

6th October 2015

On Tuesday 6th October, Shirley School hosted a CB4 challenge event for scientists. Children from schools in the area enjoyed learning the science behind some exciting demonstrations and taking part in practical experiments on the theme of ‘the senses’. Children used coat hangers to make ‘ear gongs’, watched as  soap made food colouring scatter over milk, found out about the role of smell when tasting different foods, and learnt about how a colloid works when playing with corn flour goo. Children asked super questions, and were keen to find out more and share ideas!
