Geography

We follow the National Curriculum Programme of Study for Geography and use our International Primary Curriculum (IPC) topics to cover the geography objectives. Examples of some of the Geography objectives are listed below with the full geography Programme of Study available here.
 
 Key Stage 1 - locational knowledge
  • Name and locate the World's seven continents and five oceans
  • Name, locate and identify characteristics of four countries and capital cities of the United Kingdon and its surrounding areas
Key Stage 2
  • Locate the world's countries, using a map to focus on Europe (including the location of Russia) and North and South America, concentrating on their environmental regions, key physical and human characteristics, countries and major cities
  • Name and locate countries and cities of the United Kingdon, geographical regions and their indentifying human and physical characteristics, key topographical features (including hills, mountains, coasts and rivers), and land-use patterns; and understand how some of these aspects have changed over time
